Academy score their 3rd of the game in the 53rd minute. David Allan played a long high ball to the edge of the box. Richard Macadie picked it up and had a great interchange of passes with Gary Weir and he hammered home from 8 yards out.

Dave Cormie makes a double substitutionin an attempt to try to get back into the game. Graham Stewart and Neil McLean coming on for Mark Smith and Tommy Wilson.
2 minutes later Academy almost extended their lead. Bryan McKiddie played Davie Cowie down the right wing and he crossed to David Allan. He turned his defender and got a shot on target but keeper Andy Reid made a good save to turn the ball round his post for a corner.
Locos had a good opportunity to get a goal back with 65 minutes gone. A corner was swung into the Academy box and Kenny Coull was unmarked and got a clean header on the ball but it went straight to James More for a comfortable catch.
15 minutes to go and the rain is pelting down but Academy are still 3 up and playing some great stuff. The ball retention and control has been excellent by all accounts, so hopefully we can see this one out.
Locos have just pulled a goal back with 88 played. A thrown in from the left and Shaun Sinclair and Gary Weir dallied on the ball. Neil Gauld nipped in and stole it, squared to Neil McLean and he lashed the ball into the roof of the net from 8 yards out.

No further scoring in the game so Academy pull of a fantastic result and extend their winning streak to 10 straight league wins. This is only the second time that we've beaten Inverurie at Harlaw Park, the other occasion being last season when we won 1 – 0.
