Academy started the second half as they began the match and
forced Mailn into three excellent saves within the first 5 minutes.

Geruzel found himself through on goal from a Davie Allan
pass but Mailn made a good block. Pickles then latched onto a Sam Mackay cross
but Malin somehow kept the Orcadian's effort out. Richard Macadie was next to
have a crack as he tore past the Brora defence latching onto a long kick-out by
McCarthy but Malin was again up to the challenge and prevented the Scorries
extending their lead.

The visitors drew level in the 57th minute with a
goal that Academy will be disappointed not to have defended. Malin launched the
ball up-field and it bounced into the box for Steven Mackay to latch onto. He
squared for Sutherland who had a tap-in from six yards out.

1 – 1

Academy kept pressure on the visitors and should have gone
ahead when Davie Allan battled for the ball and teed up Geruzel but he leant
back on his shot and it whistled over the cross-bar.

4 minutes from full-time Brora took the lead. Andrew Greig
made good ground up the flank and crossed to the back post for Steven Mackay to
ghost in and he made no mistake with the finish.

1 – 2

Steven Anderson came on for Macadie with minutes left to
play and he was fractions from putting the game to penalty kicks when he dinked
a great effort over the head of Malin from a tight angle and the ball deflected
off the back post before being hoofed away from danger.

The referee blew for full time and Brora match into the
final for the second year in succession.
