Manager Connelly Extends Academy Contract
Gordon Connelly has signed a new deal at Wick Academy FC
which keeps him at the Club to the end of the 2017-18 season.
Academy Chairman James Innes said "We are delighted to have secured
Gordon's services for at least the next two seasons. He delivered along with his
management team and players, the Clubs first ever senior silverware and that
alone I think is reason enough to ask him to stay in the dugout longer" said
James. "Gordon and I have a good working relationship. We have both learnt things
from one another about how we can successfully combine the business element
behind the scenes, and the actual football on the field, it's a good mix".
"Gordon I'm sure has spiked interest from other Clubs, who
no doubt could offer more attractive terms than we can, but the support he has
from within the Club, and the loyal Scorrie fans who watch us week in week out
cannot be priced. We are a Club moving forward and I'm glad to say Gordon wants
to be part of that".
