Chris Angus had another attempt the flashed just wide of the
target and for Academy James McClean had a well struck volley that flew just
over the cross-bar.

It was Buckie however that increased their lead on 65
minutes. A slack clearance by the Academy defence was punished when the ball
fell to Robert Scott and he notched home his second goal of the match.

1 – 3

Academy pushed to try to get back into the game in the remaining
quarter hour but failed to really threaten the Buckie goal. Indeed it was the
visitors that had the best chances to go further ahead through Robert Scott,
but McCarthy was twice on hand to deny him his hat trick.

Academy had to finish the last 8 minutes of the game with
only 10 men, having made all of their substitutions, when Ross Allan had to be
taken off with a hamstring injury.

So a poor night for the Scorries but Buckie deserved their
win and Academy now face a tricky away trip to Keith on Saturday.
