Academy march into Cup Final with win over Nairn – 21st March 2015
Wick Academy 2 – Nairn County 1 –
Paul Macleod gave Nairn the lead away to Wick in the 26th minute with a fine
header but Steven Anderson equalised in the 78th minute before setting up Davie
Allan to net the winner in the 86th minute to out Wick Academy in their first
Highland League Cup Final.
Turriff United 1 – Cove Rangers 2 –
Artjoms Kuznecovs gave Turriff the lead at home to Cove in the 23rd minute
before Jamie Watt equalised on the hour mark. Jonny Smith fired Cove into the
final when he netted the winner two minutes from time.

Clachnacuddin 1 – Forres Mechanics 0 –
Paul Brindle scored the only goal of the game when he netted a first time shot
with nine minutes remaining to give Clach all three points at home to Forres.
Formartine United 0 – Brora Rangers 5 –
Brora took the lead away to Formartine in the 3rd minute when Dale Gillespie
netted with a 25 yard half volley, Steven Mackay added a second in the 14th
minute with a diving header before Andrew Greig netted a third. Mackay added a
4th just before the break before Zander Sutherland completed the scoring in the
75th minute from the penalty spot.
Fort William 0 – Inverurie Locos 6 –
Martin Bavidge gave Inverurie the lead away to Fort William from the penalty
spot in the 20th minute before Martin Laing added a second. Andy Hunter added a
third before Bavidge got the fourth, late on Hunter added his second before
Keiran Adams completed the scoring.
Fraserburgh 1 – Lossiemouth 0 – The
only goal of the game between Fraserburgh and Lossiemouth came in the 82nd
minute when Marc Dickson netted from the penalty spot.
Huntly 2 – Deveronvale 3 –
David Booth gave Huntly the lead after only 42 seconds at home at to
Deveronvale. Booth added his second in the 16th minute when he chipped the
keeper. The Vale pulled one back in the 21st minute thanks to a Liam Forbes
header. Sean Keith scored the equaliser before Colin Charlesworth completed the
comeback in the 79th minute.
Rothes 0 – Keith 2 –
Michael Dunn gave Keith the lead away to Rothes in the 58th minute before Stuart
Massie completed the scoring in the 73rd minute.
Strathspey Thistle 0 – Buckie Thistle 6 – Two
goals in two minutes had Buckie on easy street away to Strathspey. Darren Woods
opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Liam Baxter netted the second. Kevin
Fraser added a third in the 61st minute before Baxter grabbed his second.
Fraser added his second in the 70th minute before Baxter completed his
hat-trick.
