In the 36th minute Davie Allan dispossessed Lewis
MacKinnon and as he drove towards goal MacKinnon took him down and he was booked
for his efforts. The resulting free-kick was taken by Sam Mackay about 23 yards
from goal but his effort landed just over the cross-bar.

Half Time – Buckie Thistle 0 – Wick Academy 1

The wind picked up at the start of the second half and
Academy are playing into it.

7 minutes after the interval Academy doubled their
advantage. Sam Mackay pinched the ball from Iain MacRae and slid it to Davie
Allan. Allan's attempt smashed off the post but Lukasz Geruzel was smart to
follow-up to the rebound and he stuck it home.

0 – 2

On the hour Buckie won a corner on the right. It was swung
in and MacKinnon delivered it across goal but there were no takers to turn it
home.

At the other end Academy created another chance when Ross
Allan played a neat one-two with brother Davie which saw Ross home in on goal
but from a tight angle his drive went just wide of the target for a goal-kick.

A minute later Lewis MacKinnon took advantage of the strong
back-wind and had a crack from 35 yards out that was saved by McCarthy.

With 10 minutes of the game left Academy sealed the points
when Darren Woods took Davie Allan down in the Buckie box and referee Graham
Beaton awarded Academy a penalty. Richard Macadie claimed the ball and although
keeper Andy Burr guest the right way, Macadie fired it home low into the right
hand corner.

0 – 3

With 5 minutes left Andy Low smacked a half-volley 30 yards
from goal which looked goal-bound but Sean McCarthy made a great save managing
to tip the ball around the post for a corner. From the corner the ball was
knocked down to substitute Craig MacMillan and he riffled home from 6 yards out.

1 – 3

Buckie finished the last few minutes of the game with only 10
men as Darren Wood had to go off injured and they had no replacements left to
take his place, and Academy claimed yet another away win, their 10th of this campaign.
