Academy started this game without the Steven brothers today.
Grant was suspended and Michael out injured. Sean McCarthy started between the
sticks and Steven Anderson was back from injury and he started along-side Gary
Weir.
Formartine started brightly and opened the scoring after 15
minutes through ex-Celtic midfielder Calum Bagshaw. Sam Mackay levelled the scores
shortly afterwards to put the teams in at half time with a goal apiece.
There were a few stramashes and an Academy shout for a penalty, but not much action in either box
in the second half and the game was won by Czech striker Marek Madle 15 minutes
from full time when he headed home from close range.
