Locos win their 6th League game on the spin and jump up to 2nd place
Forres Mechanics 1 – Inverurie Locos 2
Inverurie Locos moved up to 2nd spot in the
league as they overcame Forres Mechanics at Mosset Park. All 3goals came in the second
half and it was the visitors that grabbed the opener from John Maitland. Forres
pulled one back 6 minutes later when Simon Allan converted from the penalty
spot but the in-form Neil Gauld scorred the winner 8 minutes from the final
whistle to keep him in the hunt for the League's top goal scorer award.
Keith 4 – Cove Rangers 1
Keith were the surprise package of the night running out 4-1
winners over Cove Rangers at Kynock Park.Sean Keith opened the scoring for the
hosts 3 minutes before the half-time break. Stuart Massey converted from the
Penalty spot just after the restart and 2 further goals from Scott Robison and
Matthew Macdonald had Keith on easy-street. Cove did pill back a consolation
goal from Stuart Walker 15 minutes before full-time but it was too little too
late.
Nairn County 2 – Fraserburgh 3
A cracker of a game saw Fraserburgh come out winners by the
odd goal in 5. John Chalmers converted a penalty for the Broch to put them into
an early lead but Michael Morrison pulled one back for the home side to put the
teams in level at the interval. Both teams traded goals when Courtney Cooper
again saw the visitors regain the lead, but Leslie again squared the scores.
Copper was the hero when he had the final say scoring his second of the evening
with only 2 minutes left on the clock to secure the win for the Broch.
Rothes 1 – Deveronvale 2
Graham Rodger broke Rothes hearts when he scored a 93rd
minute winner for Deveronvale at MacKessack Park. Steven Fraser scored an
unfortunate own-goal on the 27th minute to gift Vale an early lead
but Ross Gibb squared the scores just before the hour mark. With a draw looking
on the cards the injury time winner by Rodger was a tough one to take for
Rothes.
Fort William P – Clachnacuddin P
The game between Fort William and Clachnacuddin was postponed
due to a waterlogged pitch.
