Another massive game tonight for Academy as we visit Grant
Street Park. Lukasz Geruzel is still out injured and Ross Allan is suspended.
Clach are pretty much at full strength.

The home side are forced into a change with only 10 minutes
played. Chris Ross comes off injured and
is replaced by Martin Callum.

First 20 minutes has been pretty even. Davie Allan has had a
goal chalked off for off-side.

Clach win a free kick on the edge of the centre circle. It
is lofted into the Academy penalty area by Blair Lawrie. Colin Williamson rose and challenged
for the ball with James More. More dropped the ball after looking as if he got a clatter from Williamson and Gordon Morrison stuck it
home. The Academy players all claimed a foul on More, but referee Ross waved the protests away and the goal stood.

1 – 0

Half Time – Clachnacuddin 1 – Wick Academy 0

Just past the hour and Academy have a good chance.  A break finds Sam Mackay free on the right
hand side of the box but his shot was held well by keeper John Campbell.

Academy are pressing but time is slowly running out. Davie
Allan drove down the left wing and cut inside before firing a cross low and
hard into Weir, but Weir shoots wide of target.

Academy come ever-so close to squaring the scores. Craig
Shearer teed up Davie Allan 6 yards out but keeper Campbell somehow got a hand
to Allans shot to deny Academy the equaliser.

8 minutes to go and Academy make a double substitution.
Pickles and Wilson coming on for Shearer and Manson.
