Academy have a final chance with a minute of the first half
left. Davie Allan drove at the Lossiemouth defence before passing to Macadie.
Macadie slipped the ball into Geruzel but the big Polish striker screwed his
shot wide of the target.

Half Time – Lossiemouth 0 – Wick Academy 3

10 minutes into the second hand and Lossiemouth have started
it well but as yet haven't really managed to create any clear cut chances.

Academy make a change in the 56th minute. Sam
Mackay is replaced by Graham Bayne. This is a landmark for Bayne as it notches
up his 300th appearance in senior football.

Lossiemouth have a half-sniff at a goal. A long ball is played
up to Anthony Ross and he knocked it into the path of Matthew Davidson who took
it on the volley from 30 yards out but his shot whistled just wide of Gray's
left hand post.

Lossiemouth are playing far better in the second half and
Academy are struggling really to make anything click.

In the 69th minute Academy create a chance. The
ball is played out wide to Davie Allan who played a cushioned pass to Macadie
on the edge of the box but he fired his shot straight at keeper Watson.

With 20 minutes of the game left to play Geruzel is
substituted for Ross Allan.

Academy have another chance. Davie Allan played the ball
into Bayne who had a shot that was spilled by keeper Watson. The ball fell back
to Bayne who looked to set someone up, but with no takers he turned his man and
got another shot on target that was blocked by the Lossiemouth defence.

With 10 minute left to play both sides make a change. Lee
Davison comes off for Lossiemouth and is replaced by Scott Miller, and Stevie
Cunningham is replaced by Bryan McKiddie.

6 minutes from time and it looked as if Academy had scored
their 4th when Ross Allan scorched into the box and his shot was
beaten away by Watson. The ball ran onto Davie Allan who was stretching for it
and he turned it wide of target with the goal at his mercy.

Academy came close again in the next attack when the ball
fell to Bayne inside the box and his shot across the face of goal smacked off
the post and back into Watsons arms.

Lossiemouth broke downfield and from the edge of the box
Ricky Wardop had a a good attempt from the edge of the Academy box but his
curling shot went just wide of the target.

Back into the Lossiemouth half and Davie Allan played Bayne
into the box and his shot across goal smacked of the base of Watson's post and
was cleared for a corner. The resulting corner was whipped in by Macadie and
Bayne got his head to it but the ball went straight into Watson's open arms.

As the clock ticked down Academy created yet another chance.
The ball was played up-field to Macadie who chipped it over the head of the
Lossiemouth defence for Davie Allan to run onto but his shot flashed just wide
of the target.

The closing minutes was all Academy as they hunted for the 4th
goal. Substitute Bryan McKiddie sent Ross Allan on a run up the left flank and
he ran into the box before firing in a low shot that bounced off the Lossiemouth
back post and flew out for a throw-in.

With 2 minutes left to play the Academy pressure finally
resulted in another goal. Good link-up play between Davie Allan and Macadie
started the move before Macadie slid a great pass into McKiddie who's shot was
parried away by Watson. The ball fell to Bayne in the box and from a tight
angle he shot across the keeper into his opposite corner of the net to put the icing on his 300th competitive senior appearance.
