Alan Hendry was at the game and sent in this match summary and manager thoughts:
Academy were back to their scintillating best as they
swept aside Nairn County at Station Park on Wednesday night.
The Scorries gave the home side the runaround in a comprehensive
4-0 victory, Craig Shearer netting twice from headers with Stevie Cunningham
and David Allan also on the scoresheet.
It was a confident, classy display from start to finish
with the added bonus of Alan Bokas's first clean sheet in a league game since
joining Academy.
Co-manager Ian Munro hailed it as "a fantastic
performance".
He said: "It really was a 4-0 hammering. In the
first half Nairn were chasing shadows – we went in 2-0 up and it should have
been more.
"We scored another couple of good goals in the
second half and we're absolutely delighted with the whole team's
performance."
Nairn boss Les Fridge said: "We gave ourselves a
mountain to climb.
Wick were very good, especially in the first half.
"Up until tonight we've had three games in three
months and we looked like a team that hasn't played.
