Academy opened the scoring on the 35th minute.
Manson fed McKiddie up the wing. He squared the ball across the 16 yard line
where Shearer smacked it with his right foot on the half-volley and it flew
past keeper Curtis.

Half – time 1 – 0
Neither team created much at the opening of the second half
and it was 16 minutes in before either goal was threatened. McKiddie drove at
the Brora defence and got a shot on target that keeper Curtis tipped over the
top of the bar. Macadie took the corner and Sheerer got his head to it but
Curtis was on-hand to make a safe catch under pressure from Weir.
It took 69 minutes before there was another shot on target.
MacKenzie cut in-field from the right hand wing and get a shot on target from
the corner of the penalty box but keeper Curtis got down well at his left hand
post to make a good save.
Brora levelled the game 2 minutes later. A defensive
clearance saw the ball punted towards that Academy penalty area. Substitute
Jamie McKay chased it down and More came rushing off his line in an attempt to
get to the ball first. However he misjudged it and McKie got there before him,
took a touch and slotted home from an acute angle.

Macadie was taken off in the 78th minute after a
tackle from Scott Begg. who was booked for the challange. He was replaced with Joe Steven.
With a minute left to play Academy snatched the 3 points. A corner was swung
into the box and Cunningham directed it on target. The ball was half-cleared resulting
in a stramash in the box where the ball went ping-pong before substitute David
Allan connected with it and hammed it towards target. The ball looked to have
taken a flick off a defender, but bulged the back of the net and Allan was
engulfed by his team-mates as he claimed the goal.
