Lossie were only minutes in finding the perfect reply. Poor
control by Martin Gunn in the middle of the field saw Bagley steal the ball. He
sent a low cross into the Academy box which was met by Urquhart. MacMillan got a
hand to his shot but the ball ended up in the roof of the net.

1 – 1

Minutes later and Academy re-take the lead. MacKenzie went
on a run up the left wing before sending the ball forward to Manson. He crossed
into the Lossie box for Craig Shearer who got a shot on target that was parried by
keeper McConnachie. The ball however fell to Davie Cowie and he hammer home from 4 yards
out.

1 – 2

Davie Cowie has two further good goal-scoring opportunities
before the break. In the 38th minute he managed to get through the
Lossie back-line and went one-on-one with keeper McConnachie, but he made a
good save. Five minutes later Cowie found himself free in the box again, but
he delayed in taking his shot and that allowed a defender to nick the ball off
his toes.

Academy have pressed hard for the whole of the first half
and on balance have so-far been the better side.

Half Time 1 – 2

In the opening 15 minutes of the second half Lossiemouth have
looked more threatening on the break, having tested MacMillan with a good
attempt on target, and also hitting the cross bar.

Academy make their first change on the hour mark with Bryan McKiddie coming on for Greg Shearer. Brother Craig has now fallen back into a more defensive role.

With 15 minutes left to play it's end-to-end stuff but neither side have had many more clear-cut chances at goal.

With 4 minutes left on the clock Academy make another change, Grant MacNab coming on for Gary Weir

An entertaining last 5 minutes with the Lossiemouth keeper coming up the park for a corner-kick in the dying seconds, but Academy head back up the A9 with all 3 points.
