Well it's been quite a week in
getting organised for the trip to Edinburgh
City, with committee,
managers and players all busy with the last minute arrangements. I guess many
text and voice minutes have been used in the last week!
The Sun newspaper very generously
organised the bus for this trip, which arrived in Wick on Friday afternoon
completed with; reclining seats, tables, hot and cold drinks dispenser, toilet,
DVD player, air conditioning, oh – and a driver, wheels etc as well.
The bus set-off at 5:30pm after a
photo-shoot and first stop was Helmesdale for some dinner, and then onto Perth for an over-night
stay, in a nice hotel complete with leisure facilities.
The boys were up early for
breakfast and then a light pre-match lunch at around 11:30am on Saturday morning.
The weather is not very nice and the Forth
Road bridge is closed to high-side vehicles, so
they leave the hotel slightly early as there is a bit of a detour ahead on
route to Meadowbank stadium.
They are due into Meadowbank at
around 13:30am, later than planned due to the unexpected detour, and from there its un-pack the bus, warm-up and then down to
business with kick-off at 3:00pm.
The whole county is behind the
lads today, so good luck from home-base, and let's hope you can do us proud,
win, lose or draw, with a good performance.
