Wick Academy under 17’s played a friendly last Saturday against Orkney under 17’s at the Harmsworth Park. The young Scorries acquitted themselves well coming back from two goals down to win 3-2.
Orkney went two up with David Delday scoring both goals in the 10th and 15th minutes, but Wick showed great character after the half-time break and Ross Allan gave a master-class on the art of free-kicks, scoring all three of Academy’s goals with perfectly executed free-kicks.
It is hoped that this fixture can be repeated again next year as it’s great experience for both sides.
