October 2006 – Team and Club News

Saturday 28th October:
Despite all of the rain these last few days the game today at Huntly goes ahead. The bus left this morning at 7:30am, but Mark Makhouli and Stewart Ross didn’t travel due to injuries. Gary Weir and Alex Lamb are still out, but Neil Traill is expected to join the squad today, travelling through from Aberdeen.

Saturday 21st October:
Academy are away to Nairn today. Long term injuries are still keeping out Don MacMillan and Alex Lamb. Gary Weir will be out for a few weeks with an injured knee, and Stewart Ross, Craig Shearer and Gary Manson will need late fitness test.

Wednesday 11th October:
Andrew MacLeod will unfortunately miss this weekends game with Inverurie Locos, as he has a one match ban to sit out following his red card at Keith.

Friday 6th October:
Academy set off tomorrow to Keith’s Kynoch Park to try and do something we’ve not been able to achieve since joining the league in 1994, and that’s take at least a point out of the game. We have travelled to Keith on league business 11 times and have been beat in every one of those games. The only time we have gone there and managed a 1-1 draw was in season 2000\2001 in a HL Cup game. Lets hope we can shake this monkey off tomorrow and come back up the road with all 3 points.  Gary Manson is back tomorrow, but Daniel Bell, Stuart Sinclair and Stewart Ross have other commitments.
