Academy’s tough run of away games continued today with a trip to Station Park. A second half strike by ex-Academy player Gordon McNab was all that separated the two sides.
Davie Allan was first to have a crack at goal getting a good shot on target that was blocked by the feet of keeper Dylan MacLean. He then picked up an injury on his side and was replaced shortly afterwards by substitute keeper James Kendall.
Gordon McNab got a header on target up the other end which McCarthy tipped over the cross-bar.

Into the second half and Adam Porritt had a crack from the edge of the penalty area which whistled past the outside of McCarthy’s left-hand post.
Davie Allan slid in Sam Mackay and keeper Kendall did well to get down to his effort making the block.
The only goal of the game came in the 79th minute. Dylan Mackenzie crossed the ball into the box from the right wing to Adam Naismith. He teed up McNab who made no mistake in picking his spot and firing past McCarthy.
