Academy and Clach played out a nil nil draw at Grant Street Park.
Goalmouth
action was in short supply but a powerful
shot by Gary Manson after 20 minutes brought out a good save from Clach
keeper
Douglas Maclennan. A corner from Richard
Macadie after 35 minutes caused a bit of mayhem in the Clach defense
and a deflection off a defender looked goalbound for Wick but was
cleared off
the line by John MacAskill. Challenges
became a little more meaty in the second half resulting in a flurry of
bookings
for both sides after the 70th minute mark with Wick's Michael Steven
picking up
two yellows in the space of 4 minutes which left him heading to the
dressing
room a few minutes ahead of the rest of the team.
