McCarthy had to be at his best to keep out a lusty strike
from Scott Henry while at the other end, Mackay went close to getting his
second of the game when his shot crept inches past the post.
MacIver continued to impress during his loan spell and
almost grabbed his first goal for the club when he beat several defenders to
steal into the box, but he fired his shot wide of the target.
Academy defended well in the second half but were unable to
see out the game and in the final minute Grant Steven was judged to have pulled
Harris' shirt in the box to concede the penalty which former Turriff United and
Deveronvale frontman Harris duly converted.

Academy could have won the match in injury time when Steven
Anderson's spectacular volley flew just over, leaving the sides having to
settle for a share of the spoils.
