Minutes into the second half, Academy felt they should have
been awarded a penalty when Steven

Anderson appeared to have been pushed by an opponent in the
box in a scramble for the ball. But referee Graham Fraser ruled no foul had
take place, to the disbelief of the home support.

Academy's frustrations grew when Turriff took the lead from
a Nowosielski cross from the left wing into the box. After a messy sequence,
Bowden had the final say when he blasted the ball from close range into the back
of the net.

0 – 1

Wick almost pulled one back immediately when Anderson caught
the Turriff defence unawares to beat the offside trap and run on to Sam
Mackay's pass. But his shot from 12 yards was brilliantly saved by Main who tipped
the ball over the bar.

Academy continued to press for an equaliser and almost
forced extra time at the death when Anderson once again caused problems in the
Turriff defence by penetrating the visitors' back line. his shot was heading
towards the bottom right corner when it was blocked by Main as Turriff held on
to progress to the quarter finals.
