On 39 minutes McConnachie again well to get finger-tips to a
Ross Allan free kick to help the ball on its way over the crossbar.

A minute later and Sam Mackay's game was over as referee Ben
Dempster flashed him a straight red card for coming through the back of Ally
Bellingham out wide on the stand-side touch-line. Bellingham was injured in the
tackle and was replaced by Harry Noble.

James McLean came on for Richard Macadie at the start of the
second half in a tactical change by Gordon Connelly.

Gary Weir came close to scoring but yet again McConnachie
was on hand to turn his attempt passed the outside of the post.

Despite being a man down Academy still looked threatening
and Dave Allan showed a glimpse of his lighting pace as he tore down the right
wing before delivering the ball into the box for James Mclean but he couldn't make
a decent connection on the ball to threaten the Lossie goal.

McLean was also involved in the next attack as he hammered a
Ross Allan Corner on target but the Lossie keeper was on fire and he made
another excellent save.

Up the other end it McCarthy's turn to pull off a good save
as he prevented substitute Harry Nobel scoring from a 25 yard free-kick.

10 minutes from the final whistle Bryan Bell was taken on
for Martin Charlesworth and he made an immediate impact on the game. He swung a
cross into the Academy box and Alan Farquhar tried to clear it but
unfortunately headed into his own net passed a helpless McCarthy.

1 – 2

Academy couldn't find a reply and it was the visitors that headed
down the road with all three points.
