On the hour Clach equalised.  A long ball found Daniel Maclennan. He held
off a challenge from Grant Campbell and broke into the box before rifling the
ball across McCarthy and into the bottom right hand corner.

1 – 1

Clach came close again on 71. Academy conceded a free-kick
on the right touch-line near the corner flag. Blair Lawrie swung it in and it
missed everyone before flying just over the bar at the back post.

Sam Mackay conceded a free-kick for which he picked up a
booking. Lawrie took it and lifted it over the wall only to see the ball bounce
back off the right hand post.

At the other end of the park Academy won a corner on the
left. Richard Macadie took it and it was flicked on by Davie Allan for Gary
weir at the back post. Weir took it down and turned it goal-bound but it was
cleared off the line by a Clach defender.

4 minutes from full-time Academy took the lead. Davie Allan
was adjudged by referee Dan McFarlane to have bene fouled inside the box by
Michael Finnis and he pointed to the penalty spot. Macadie hammered it straight
down the throat of keeper Watson who got a hand to it but there was too much
power in the shot and it flew last him.

1 – 2

Deep into injury time Finnis drew the wrath of referee
McFarlane who flashed him two yellow cards in quick succession and he trudged
off to leave his team for the final minute with only 10 men.
