That advantage however lasted for less than a minute when Academy
failed to clear a Khutsishvili cross and Lee Fraser smashed home with a low
drive.

Unbelievably a third goal was scored in as many minutes. Sam
Mackay fired a long ball up to Geruzel in the Forres box. His shot caught
keeper Knight cold and he celebrated a well taken hat-trick with his fellow
players.

Half Time – Wick Academy 4 – Forres Mechanics 2
Straight from the restart Forres pulled back the deficit. A
Stuart Soane pile-driver smashed off the underside of the cross-bar, hit the
back of James More's heat and into the net.

Neither team could find another goal and a very entertaining
match ended with another three points for the Scorries. Keeper Stuart Knight
picked up his second booking of the day as the teams left the park as he and
referee Graham Elder exchanged words.
