Manager Gordon Connelly started with the same 11 as last Saturday against Huntly as the Scorries hunted for their 10th League win on the spin to equal that record which was set in season 2008-09. Unfortunately the lads just fell short, never-the less they head back up the A9 with a well-earned point after battling out a goal-less draw with Nairn County.
The Scorries had chances to win the game and what looked to be a clear second half penalty claim turned down when Ross Allan has his heels taken away from him in the box.
Brora, Formartine and Turriff United all won tonight so the result drops Academy back to 3rd in the table with Turriff nipping at our heels a point behind.
Academy now play Lossiemouth at Harmsworth Park on Saturday.
Team: Sean McCarthy, Michael Steven, Ross Allan, Alan Farquhar, Grant Steven, Grant Campbell, James Pickles, Steven Anderson, Richard Macadie(Sam Mackay 71), Davie Allan, Lukasz Geruzel
