top the table with fine win at Huntly – 18th Oct
Huntly 0 – Wick Academy 2 –
Wick Academy continued their impressive run with a win at Huntly. Lukasz
Geruzel poked the ball home in the 36th minute before Steven Anderson completed
the scoring in the 52nd minute when he tapped home into an empty net.
Cove Rangers 2 – Formartine United 3 –
Craig McKeown gave Formartine the lead away to Cove but Daryl Nicol equalised
before half-time. Jonny Smith put Cove in front just after half-time but
Formartine equalised thanks to Graham Hay before Cammy Keith got on the score
sheet to grab the points for the away side.
Deveronvale 0 – Inverurie Locos 2 –
Neil McLean got on the end of a passing move to give Inverurie the lead away to
Deveronvale in the 10th minute. In the 52nd minute Jordan Leyden completed the
scoring netting from 6 yards.
Fort William 1 – Nairn County 3 –
Robbie Duncanson gave Nairn the lead away to Fort William in the 16th when his
free-kick alluded everyone before Martin MacDonald added a second. Gordon
McCarroll pulled one back for Fort before Sam Urquhart completed the scoring
with a deflected effort.
Lossiemouth 1 – Clachnacuddin 4 –
Clach took the lead away to Lossiemouth in the 12th minute when Gordon Morrison
netted from the spot. Sean Fitzpatrick added a second before Daniel Maclennan
added a third just before the break. Iain Penwright added a fourth before Scott
Dunn scored a consolation for the home side.
Rothes 5 – Forres Mechanics 2 –
Ryan Macleod gave Rothes an early lead at home to Forres but Forres scored a
quick fire double through Andrew Fraser and Kris Duncan. Michael Dunn equalised
for Rothes before Macleod got his second just before half-time. Craig MacMillan
grabbed a fourth for Rothes before Joao Rodrigues wrapped up the points.
Turriff United 3 – Keith 1 –
Mike Ewen gave Keith the lead away to Turriff in the 21st minute but Gary
Harris equalised for the hosts in the 32nd minute. Stuart Cumming put Turriff
in front in the 62nd minute before Nick Gray made sure of the points in the
last minute.
Fraserburgh 3 – Buckie Thistle 2 – In
the Aberdeenshire Cup final Graham Johnston gave Fraserburgh an early lead
against Buckie but Andy Low equalised. Shaun Carroll then put Buckie in front
from the penalty spot before Johnston equalised. Peter Bruce won the Cup for
the Broch when he netted with four minutes to go.
Brora Rangers 3 – Elgin City 1 –
Brora retained the North of Scotland Cup beating Elgin in the final. Steven
Mackay opened the scoring for Brora in the 5th minute before adding a second
two minutes later. Craig Gunn pulled one back for Elgin in the 10th minute
before Colin Williamson made sure that Brora retained the Cup in the 25th
minute.
