Academy up to 2nd after thrashing Rothes – 11th Oct

Wick Academy 7 – Rothes 1
Lukasz Geruzel gave Academy an early lead at home to Rothes before Kenneth Mair
equalised. Steven Anderson put the Scorries back in front with a 25 yard
screamer before Richard Macadie and Davie Allan scored before half-time.
Macadie added a second before two late goals from Anderson saw him complete his
hat-trick. 

Brora Rangers 3 – Nairn County 0
Zander Sutherland gave Brora an early lead at home to Nairn before Martin
Maclean added a second in the 31st minute. Ross Tokely completed the scoring
three minutes later when he netted at the second attempt.

Buckie Thistle 4 – Keith 0 – Andy
Low gave Buckie a first minute lead at home to Keith before Liam Baxter added a
second in the 10th minute. Scott Adams added a third in the 15th minute when he
netted a rebound. Baxter completed the scoring in the 23rd minute to ensure an
emphatic victory for the home side. 

Clachnacuddin 1 – Fraserburgh 2
Willie West gave Fraserburgh a first half lead away to Clach. Graham Johnston
added a second with a cross-cum shot before John Fitzpatrick added a
consolation in stoppage time.

Formartine United 2 – Deveronvale 2
Martin Charlesworth added two goals either side of half-time to give
Deveronvale the lead away to Formartine but the home side pulled one back in
the 84th minute when Cammy Keith netted from the penalty spot. Stuart Anderson
grabbed a share of the points when he equalised in the 89th minute. 

Huntly 0 – Turriff United 1 – Gary
Harris scored the only goal of the game just before half-time to give Turriff
all three points away to Huntly.

Inverurie Locos 4 – Cove Rangers 5
Daryl Nicol gave Cove an 11th minute lead away to Inverurie before the home
side equalised in the 19th minute thanks to David Ross. Nicol put Cove back in
front with a free-kick before a quick fire double from Neil Gauld had Inverurie
in front. Nicol completed his hat-trick to have the sides level at the break.
Ross got his second of the match in the 61st minute before Nicol added his and
Cove's fourth. Jamie McAllister won the game for Cove in the 93rd minute. 

Lossiemouth 2 – Strathspey Thistle 1 – Scott
Hume gave Strathspey the lead away to Lossiemouth in the 29th minute before
Ryan Farquhar equalised in the 29th minute. Ryan Green scored the winner for
the home side in the 95th minute.

Forres Mechanics 1 – Elgin City 3 – In
Scottish Cup replay action Forres took the lead at home to Elgin thanks to
Scott Moore who netted in the 65th minute. Craig Gunn equalised from the spot
in the 75th minute before getting his second in the 85th minute. Bryan Cameron
also scored for the away side in the 80th minute.
