Strathspey Thistle 2 – Wick Academy 9 – John
Ross gave Strathspey the lead at home to Wick Academy in the 8th minute but Sam
Mackay equalised straight from kick-off. Mackay got his second in the 24th
minute before Lukasz Geruzel added a double in the 37th and 52nd minute. James
Pickles got a fifth but Josh Peters pulled one back for Strathspey. Ross Allan
scored with a free-kick. Pickles got his second with a 40 yard screamer before
Steven Anderson got his first goal for the club. Mackay completed his hat-trick
in the 90th minute to score Academy's ninth and final goal.
Fort William 4 – Lossiemouth 3 –
Willie Mathers gave Lossiemouth the lead away to Fort William but Gordon
McCarroll equalised for the home side. Shawn Scott put Lossiemouth back in
front on the stroke of half-time but McCarroll equalised once more. Andy
Hardwick put the Fort ahead for the first time in the game but Scott Miller
equalised for Lossie. Sean Grant then went straight up the park and grabbed the
winner for Fort.
Fraserburgh 2 – Buckie Thistle 2 –
Graham Johnston gave Fraserburgh a 10th minute lead at home to Buckie but Andy
Low equalised within a minute. Scott Fowlie put Fraserburgh back in front in
the 27th minute but Liam Baxter ensured a share of the spoils when he grabbed a
goal in the 39th minute.
Scottish Cup – 2nd Round
Inverurie Locos 0 – Hurlford United 3 – In
the Scottish Cup Inverurie went down to Junior Cup winner Hurlford United. The
junior club scored three goals without reply with the goals coming from Paul
McKenzie, Ross Robertson and Angus Cochrane.
Nairn County 2 – Huntly 1 –
Robbie Duncanson gave Nairn the lead at home to Huntly on the half hour mark
with a curling effort. Just before half-time Nairn double their lead in
controversial fashion, Conor Gethins header was adjusted to have crossed the
line much to dismay of the Huntly players. Huntly pulled a goal back in the
second half thanks to Callum Dunbar but Nairn held on to progress to the next
round.
Turriff United 0 – Clyde 3 –
Turriff lost by three goals to nil at home to Clyde. Kevin Watt, Scott McManus
and Scott Ferguson grabbed the goals for the League Two side.
Berwick
Rangers 2 – Formartine United 0 – Formartine made the long trip away to Berwick
but lost out to first half goals from David Gold and Darren Lavery.
Brora Rangers 5 – Banks O' Dee 0 –
Steven Mackay gave Brora a 4th minute lead at home to Banks O' Dee. Mackay
added his second in the 14th minute before completed his hat-trick in the 26th
minute. Martin Maclean added a fourth before Gavin Morrison completed the
scoring.
Cove Rangers 1 – Annan Athletic 2 –
Daryl Nicol gave Cove the lead at home to Annan in the 18th minute but Annan
equalised in the 40th minute when Peter Weatherson converted from spot. Stewart
McColm put Annan in front in the 42nd minute which was enough for them to
progress to the next round.
Elgin City 0 – Forres Mechanics 0 –
Elgin and Forres drew a blank so will have to play a replay.
