Wick
Academy booked their place in the semi-final thanks to a 2-0 home win over
Clach. Academy got off to a flyer when Gary Weir opened the scoring within the
first 3 minutes. Sam Mackay swept home the second 5 minutes before the
half-time break to put the Scorries in with a comfortable lead. Clach failed
really to put much pressure on the Wick goal and Academy played well within
themselves to notch up the win and march into the next round.
Halkirk United 0 – Brora Rangers 8
Wick's
opponents in the semi-final will be Brora Rangers who overcame Halkirk United
by eight goals to nil. Steven Mackay banged in five goals along with a brace
from Zander Sutherland and a single goal from Dale Gillespie.
Lossiemouth 2 – Forres Mechanics 2 – Forres won
3-1 on Penalties
Scott
Dunn gave Lossiemouth an early lead at home to Forres but Craig McGovern
equalised before Darren Bailey put Lossiemouth back in front. Kyle Scott
equalised a second time to ensure the game went to penalties. Forres were
victorious in the penalties winning three one.
Rothes 1 – Elgin City 8
Elgin
overcame Rothes by eight goals to one. Shane Sutherland scored four goals along
with goals from Marc Nicholson, Daniel Moore, Dennis Wyness and an own goal
from Stuart Lamberton. Kyle Stewart scored a consolation goal for Rothes.
