2013-14 Player Awards
The
annual presentation of Wick Academy's player awards took place at the Academy
end of season awards night last Saturday the 10th of May. The full list of
winners are as follows:
- Players' Player of the year –
Alan Farquhar. - Supporters' Player of the
year – Alan Farquhar. - John Henderson Shield for
the Young player of the year – Grant Steven. - Bill Mackay Memorial Golden
Boot award – Gary Weir – Total of 23 competitive goals. - Fair Play Award Richard
Macadie. - Michael McNeill Trophy Goal
of the season – Craig Shearer – WAFC v Nairn County. - Dot McLachlan Trophy for the
most improved player – Alan Hughes. - Dan Thomson Trophy Youth player
of the year Mark Webster.
Special Awards:
- Honorary Vice President Award – Drewie Farquhar
- Eight Goals scored in a single game – Gary Weir v Fort William
