Great second half by Academy but Formartine take the spoils

Formartine United 3 – Wick Academy 1

Gary Clark gave Formartine the lead at home to Wick Academy
in the 32nd minute when he appeared to mis-hit his shot which caught
out keeper Gray, it was 2-0 in the 42nd minute when Michael Ewen
found space and fired home a low effort. David Allan got one back for Wick in
the 75th minute when he poked the ball past the keeper. Ewen made
sure of the points for the home side in the 83rd minute when he
lobbed the keeper.

Fort William 2 – Cove Rangers 6

Chris Clark gave Cove the lead in the 20th minute
when he netted from 15 yards, Jamie Lennox made it two four minutes later.
Connor Scully made it 3-0 before James Mackay pulled one back for Fort William.
Scully added his second in the 71st minute before Mackay turned
provider and set up Jonathan Cooper to net to give Fort a glimmer of hope. In
the 82nd minute Cove made sure of the points when Michael Selfridge
netted, Scully rounded off the scoring in stoppage time to complete his
hat-trick.

Keith 2 – Fraserburgh 3

Grant Noble scored from close range in the 35h minute to
give Fraserburgh the lead away to Keith. Stuart Massie got the home side level
on the hour mark when he netted from 20 yards, two minutes later and Keith took
the lead, Matty McDonald pounced on a mistake to net. Russell McBride bundled
home in the 70th minute to draw the Broch level before Scott Barbour
set up Peter Bruce to net the winner for the away side with two minutes
remaining.

Rothes 0 – Nairn County 3

Gary Kerr gave Nairn the lead away to Rothes in the 15th
minute when he netted a header from Archie Macphee's cross. Conor Gethins made
it two in the 55th minute when he nodded home. Ross Naismith
completed the scoring in the 66th minute when he netted from close
range.

Highland League Cup – Semi-finals

Inverurie Locos 1 – Buckie Thistle 3

In the league cup semi-finals Buckie caused an upset away to
Inverurie. The visitors took the lead in the 9th minute when Chris
Angus netted with a half-volley, the same player doubled the lead just two
minutes later when he tapped home after superb build up play. Angus netted the
first hat-trick of his career in the 50th minute to all but finish
the tie off. Inverurie did pull one back in the 63rd minute when
Neil Gauld netted from the spot.

Clachnacuddin 5 – Lossiemouth 1

In the other semi-final Lossiemouth took the lead in the 4th
minute when Ryan Green netted. Stephen Mackenzie drew Clach level in the 10th
minute with a header. Blair Lawrie put Clach in the lead in the minute before
Paul Brindle made it three in the 32nd minute. It was four in the 44th
minute when Martin Callum netted. Gordon Morrison completed the scoring for
Clach in the 51st minute with a penalty.
