Inverurie have dominated possession but Academy did create a
chance from a throw-in on the left. Geruzel crossed to the back post but it
went just over the head of Gary Weir.
On the half hour Shearer was called into defensive duties as
he cleared a Martin Bavidge attempt that took a ricochet in the box.
A minute from half-time David Ross added another goal when
he rifled a shot from 18 yards out on the left past Gray and into the net.

In the next attack it was almost more bad news for the
Scorries when a Martin Bavidge shot smacked off the wood-work.

At the start of the second half good inter-change play
between Macadie and Geruzel on the 18 yard line saw Geruzel in on goal. He beat
his marker and got a shot off that Goalkeeper Andy Reid went to clear but he miskicked
the ball and Greig Mitchell headed off the line over the top of his cross-bar.
Ross Anderson added the next goal to put the home side nap
when he fired home from the left flank.

Jordan Leyden whistled a shot just wide of the target and as
play broke up-field substitute Alan Hughes had a great attempt that keeper Reid
was equal to getting a hand to the ball to knock it over the bar.
It was a Locos substitute Andrew Hunter that then increased the
scoring with a simple tap-in from close range.

Macadie free kick to back post cleared over for a corner and
Academy then had a header amongst a ruck or players that came off the
cross-bar. Ross Anderson then had a downward header from a corner that
went just wide of target.
Great play from David Ross up the wing worked the Locos up the park again and his cross found Jordan
Leydon but he knocked it over the cross-bar from 7 yards out.
Alan Hughes had a run up the left wing before passing
to Macadie. He laid it off to Davie Allan who returned the ball to Macadie, he
beat a few defenders before getting his shot off but it hit keeper Andy Reid in
the chest and was cleared.
In the last minute Andrew Hunter cross the ball into the
Academy box to Scott Begg who was bundled over and referee Anthony Cooper
pointed to the spot. Martin Bavidge took the spot kick and made no mistake
wrapping up a great afternoon for the Locos home support.
