Academy share the points with visitors Formartine United


Wick Academy 1 – Formartine United 1

Cammy Keith gave Formartine the lead at Harmsworth Park in
the 14th minute from the penalty spot after Michael Steven felled
Michael Ewen. David Allan equalised for Academy in the 70th minute
with a shot that the keeper got a hand to but could not keep out.

Fort William 0 – Fraserburgh 6

Scott Barbour gave Fraserburgh the lead away to Fort William
in the 17th minute when he netted from a corner. Willie West added
number 2 five minutes later when he headed home a corner. Willie West added his
second just before half-time when he poked the ball home. Courtney Cooper made
it 4-0 with a looping header before John Chalmers made it five. Willie West
completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute to complete the scoring
when he headed home at the far post from a corner.

Keith 0 – Brora Rangers 3

Brora sealed the championship away to Keith. They took the
lead when Steven Mackay capitalised on a slip in the Keith defence to net from
15 yards. Mackay added his second in the 34th minute when he got on
the end of a Zander Sutherland ball to net. Ross Tokely made sure of the points
in the 70th minute when he netted from 12 yards.

Strathspey Thistle 0 – Turriff United 2

Turriff took the lead in the 40th minute away to
Strathspey when former Buckie player Aaron Shand netted. Turriff left it late
before securing the three points with Gary Harris securing the three points.

Highland League Cup – Quarter Finals

Inverurie Locos 5 – Nairn County 2

In the league cup Inverurie secured an impressive win at
home to Nairn, Jordan Leyden set up Neil Gauld to tap home the opener. Nairn
equalised in the 34th minute when a Glenn Main effort deflected off
of Scott Begg to find the net. Neil McLean put Inverurie back in front in the
40th minute with a curling effort. Two quick goals just after
half-time put Inverurie on easy street, Leyden got the first scoring with a low
effort before Bavidge made it 4-1 when he side footed into the net. Michael
Morrison gave Nairn a glimmer of hope in the 60th minute when he
netted from the spot but Leyden got his second late on to complete the scoring.

Clachnacuddin 7 – Rothes 0

Clach took the lead at home to Rothes in the 20th minute
thanks to the in-form Paul Brindle. Blair Lawrie made it 2-0 in the 4th
minute before Struan Scott-Woodhouse added a third. Michael Dunn scored an own
goal to make it four before Ross Grant added a fifth. Brindle got his second
with a low effort before completing his hat-trick with a free-kick.

Forres Mechanics 1 – Buckie Thistle 3

Buckie took the lead away to Forres in the 76th
minute when Andy Low netted from 12 yards. Duncan Jones grabbed the equaliser
in the 8th minute when he headed home a free-kick to take the game
into extra time. Kyle Gauld was brought down in the box and Aaron Conway made
no mistake from the spot to put Buckie in front Low made sure it was Buckle who
progressed to the semi-final with a bouncing shot from 20 yards.

Huntly 1 – Lossiemouth 2

Scott Dunn diverted a free-kick into the back of the net in
the 39th minute to give Lossiemouth the lead away to Huntly. The
home side equalised in the 56th minute when Leigh Henderson headed home.
Henderson turned sinner when he gave the ball away to Shawn Scott who netted
what turned out to be the winner.
