Second half comeback wins the points for Nairn at Harmsworth Park
Wick Academy 1 – Nairn County 2
Craig Shearer scored on the stroke of half-time from 25
yards to give Wick the lead at home to Nairn. Nairn equalised in the 72mnd when
Michael Morrison sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot. Just 5
minutes later Nairn completed their comeback, Ross Naismith headed the ball
into the bottom corner from close range.
Brora Rangers 2 – Formartine United 0
Brora took the lead at home to Formartine in the 76th
minute when Zander Sutherland lobbed the keeper from the left wing. Steven Ross
capitalised on a slip by Craig McKeown to score the second and winning goal.
Buckie Thistle 2 – Clachnacuddin 2
Buckie and Clach shared the points but it was the away side
who took the lead in the 17th minute, Dachi Khutsishvill headed home
his first goal for Clach. Neil MacDonald scored with a low effort in the 78th
minute to give Clach a two goal lead. Donnie Munro pulled one back for Buckie
when he volleyed home from 8 yards. Chris Angus completed the comeback in the
86th minute when he finished from Neil Davidson's cross.
Cove Rangers 4 – Rothes 1
Michael Selfridge gave Cove the lead just after half-time
before Callum McIntosh lobbed the keeper to equalise for Rothes. Selfridge put
Cove back in the lead with a header in the 73rd minute before Connor Scully
made it three with a deflected shot. Eric Watson completed the scoring for Cove
with a close range finish.
Forres Mechanics 4 – Deveronvale 1
Forres took the lead at home to Deveronvale when Kyle Scott
headed home a free-kick. Deveronvale equalised when Graeme Rodger fired a low
shot past the keeper. Craig McGovern put Forres back in front before half-time
when he was quickest to react to a rebound. Graham Fraser added a third when he
headed home a corner before Scott got his second to complete the scoring.
Fort William 2 – Strathspey Thistle 3
Strathspey took the lead in the 4th minute away
to Fort William when Allan Fraser netted from a narrow angle. Fraser then made
it 2-0 to the away side with a curling effort. Drew Howard added a third for
Strathspey before half-time thanks to deflected shot. Duncan Campbell pulled
one back for Fort William midway through the second half before John Treasurer
added a second in injury time.
Fraserburgh 4 – Huntly 3
Craig Dorrat gave Huntly the lead in the 8th
minute before adding a second after 22 minutes to give Huntly a dream start
away to Fraserburgh. Steven got one back for Fraserburgh with a well worked
free-kick before Peter Bruce levelled the scores. John Willox gave Fraserburgh
the lead for the first time in the 50th minute hut Neale Davidson
equalised for Huntly just after the hour. Scott Barbour sealed all three points
for Fraserburgh in the dying moments to complete their comeback.
Keith 0 – Inverurie Locos 3
Jordan Leydon scored after 14 minutes to give Inverurie the lead
away to Keith. Two goals in seven minutes for Inverurie in the first half
completed the scoring. Ex Keith player Dean Donaldson scored a header before
Neil Gauld scored an angled shot from 10 yards.
Lossiemouth 1 – Turriff United 3
Nick Gray gave manger-less Turriff the lead midway through
the first half away to Lossiemouth. Gray added a second in the 53nd minute
before Lossiemouth pulled one back moments later when Kevin Flett netted from
the penalty spot. Aaron Shand scored a third and decisive goal in injury time
to seal the win for Turriff.
