Academy game at Fort postponed – Brora & Nairn progress in HLC


Inverurie Locos 5 – Lossiemouth 0

Inverurie went ahead at home to Lossiemouth in the 30th
minute when Dean Donaldson poked the ball home. It was 2-0 five minutes later
when Neil Gauld struck. Gauld added his second in the 56th minute
when he netted at the near post at the near post. Two minutes later Martin
Bavidge made it four before David Ross completed the scoring.

Strathspey Thistle 0 – Cove Rangers 3

Cove took the lead in the 30th minute away to
Strathspey when Jonny Smith fired past the keeper. Blair Yule added a second in
the 54th minute with a bullet header before sub Jamie Lennox completed
the scoring in the 67th minute.

Turriff United 1 – Fraserburgh 4

Fraserburgh grabbed all three points away to Turriff and
took the lead midway through the first half when Peter Bruce tapped home a
corner. Scott Barbour made it 2-0 in the 37th minute when he rounded
the keeper. Aaron McKenna pulled one back for Turriff in the 40th
minute but Fraserburgh regained their two goal advantage just after half-time
when Courtney Cooper collided with the keeper and ball went into the net. Bruce
added his second in the 58th minute to complete the scoring.

Keith 0 – Forres Mechanics 6

Stuart Soane gave Forres the lead away to Keith in the 41st
minute with a bullet header. The same player made it 2-0 after half-time from
the penalty spot before Kris Duncan made it 3-0 in the 5oth minute before he
got his second in the 57th minute. Soane completed his hat-trick in
the 66th minute before Ross Archibald added a 6th and
final goal in the 71st minute.

Rothes 1 – Buckie Thistle 4

Buckie took the lead away to Rothes when Aaron Conway netted
from the spot in the 5th minute. Andrew Corbett scored an own goal
in the 16th minute to increase Buckie's lead. Chris Angus made it
3-0 on the stroke of half-time before Corbett this time scored at the right end
to grab a consolation for Rothes. Craig MacMillan added further salt to wounds
of Rothes when he scored a fourth for Buckie.

Fort William P – Wick Academy P

The game between Fort William and Wick Academy was postponed
due to a waterlogged pitch.

Highland League Cup – Preliminary Round

In the Highland League club Brora and Nairn progressed from
the preliminary round at the expense of Clach and Formartine respectively.

Brora Rangers 3 – Clachnacuddin 0

Brora opened the scoring in the 6th minute when
Steven Mackay netted from the spot. Steven Ross added a second for Brora in the
40th minute before the same player completed the scoring in the 81st
minute to set up a home tie with Deveronvale in round one.

Formartine United 1 – Nairn County 4

Nairn scored an impressive 4-1 win away to Formartine and
opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Conor Gethins lifted the
ball over the keeper. Gethins turned provider for Nairn's second goal when he
set up Stuart Leslie to net. In the 65th minute Gethins again
provided an assist, this time for Robbie Duncanson to net. Stuart Anderson
pulled one back for Formartine from the spot but Gethins added his second with
a header to complete the scoring.
