A crowd of ~420 saw Gordon Connelly pick up is first win as
Wick Academy Manager as the Scorries defeated Huntly 3-2 at Harmsworth Park.

Richard Macadie opened the scoring from the penalty spot
after 30 minutes when Michael Clark handled the ball in his own box. Sam Mackay
doubled the advantage with a fine strike 2 minutes before half-time to put the home
side in at half-time with a two goal lead.

Davie Allan had Academy in the box seat just on the hour when
he lashed home with a great finish past Huntly keeper Fraser Hobday.

So game done and dusted, not a hope! Marek Madle score a
brace to take the visitors right back into the game and that got their tails up
as they battled for the equaliser.

6 minutes from full time Craig Dorrat dented his team's
hopes of the perfect come-back when he lunged into a challenge on Richard
Macadie and referee Graham Fraser sent him for an early bath.

Academy had several good chances to increase the goal-count
before the end of the game but it ended 3-2.
