Connelly picks up first win against Huntly
Wick Academy 3 – Huntly 2
Gordon Connelly secured his first win as Wick Academy boss
at home to Huntly. The Scorries opened in the scoring in the 30th
minute when Richard Macadie netted from the penalty spot. Just before half-time
Sam Mackay made it 2-0. Davie Allan netted a third in the 59th
minute when his shot went in off the post. Huntly pulled one back in the 64th
minute when Marek Madle headed home a free-kick, the same player added a second
for Huntly in the 71st minute but the Scorries held on to claim the
three points.
Cove Rangers 1 – Inverurie Locos 2
Inverurie went ahead away to Cove in the 27th
minute when Dean Donaldson controlled a free-kick before netting. Inverurie
doubled their lead in the 62nd minute when Jamie Michie netted with
a low free-kick. Eric Watson pulled one back for Cove with 14 minutes remaining
but the reigning champions could not find a second goal.
Nairn County 5 – Rothes 1
Nairn opened the scoring in the 16th minute at
home to Rothes when Conor Gethins netted his 100th goal for the
club. In the 20th minute Michael Morrison stabbed home from a corner
to double the lead, Robbie Duncanson added a 3rd in the 28th
minute before Liam Forbes pulled one back for Rothes on the hour. Gethins
restored Nairn's three goal advantage before Stuart Leslie completed the
scoring a minute from time.
Buckie Thistle 2 – Turriff United 1
Turriff took the lead away to Buckie when Gary McGowan sent
the keeper the wrong way from the spot. Chris Angus equalised for Buckie with a
looping header before the same player completed the scoring at the death
reacting first to a rebound.
Fraserburgh 2 – Deveronvale 5
Deveronvale took the lead within 90 seconds away to
Fraserburgh when Scott Henry netted. Peter Bruce equalised for the home side
but Colin Charlesworth put the Vale back in front. Scott Barbour scored from
the spot to level the scores at half-time. Martin Charlesworth put Deveronvale
back in front before the away side added further goals from Graham Rodger and
Ricky Wardrop.
Lossiemouth 1 – Keith 3
Keith opened the scoring just before half-time away to
Lossiemouth when Craig Macaskill netted. The home side levelled through Darren
Bailey but Keith went back ahead when Matthew MacDonald netted. Murray
McCulloch made sure of the points when he converted from the spot.
Forres Mechanics 6 – Fort William 0
Stuart Soane gave Forres the lead at home to Fort William
from the penalty spot. Duncan Jones added second just before half-time and
Craig McGovern added a quick fire third. Kyle Scott added a double to make it
5-0 before Ross Archibald netted a 6th and final goal for the home
side.
Brora Rangers 11 – Strathspey Thistle 0
Brora opened the scoring at home to Strathspey when Zander
Sutherland netted. Andrew Greig made it 2-0 before Steven Ross added a third.
Colin William made it four before Gavin Morrison netted, Ryan Watson made it
six before Morrison added his second. Ross added a second to make it eight
before Steven Mackay added a double to make it 10-0. Morrison added his third
to complete the scoring and make the final score 11-0.
Clachnacuddin P – Formartine United P
The game between Clach and Formartine was postponed due to a
waterlogged pitch.
