Weather takes its toll as only 4 games go ahead


Brora
Rangers 6 – Forres Mechanics 0

Brora
scored six without reply at home to Forres to stretch their lead at the top of
the table. The home side took the lead in the 40th minute when Zander
Sutherland netted from the spot. Steven Mackay added second just before
half-time before Ross Tokely powered home a third. Sutherland added his second
with a zipping shot before Mackay made it 5-0 when the keepers kick hit him and
ended up in the back of the net. Martin Maclean completed the scoring late on
with a tidy finish.

Nairn
County 1 – Inverurie Locos 2

Inverurie
secured a big win away to Nairn to keep them within touching distance of Brora.
Inverurie took the lead after half an hour when Neal McLean set up Neil Gauld
to fire into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Nairn applied pressure on
the Inverurie goal in the second half but it was the Locos who added a second
in the 83rd minute, McLean this time applied the finish after beating four men
and scoring with a low effort. Nairn got a consolation in the 87th minute when
Stuart Leslie netted from 8 yards.

Fraserburgh
9 – Fort William 0

Fraserburgh
were the big hitters of the day scoring nine without reply at home to a
luckless Fort William. Two early goals from Scott Barbour and John Willox had
the home side on their way. Barbour added a second from the penalty spot before
he completed his hat-trick in the 31st minute. Barbour added his fourth a
minute later when he headed home a cross. Just after the break Barbour added
another with a low shot. Graham Johnson volleyed home number 7 before Russell
McBride netted in the 79th minute and then Steve Davidson netted the final goal
a minute later.

Huntly
1 – Deveronvale 1

Manger
less Huntly took the lead at home to Deveronvale right on half-time when Marek
Madle who had just come on as a sub headed home a David Booth cross.
Deveronvale grabbed a share of the points with just minutes remaining from the
penalty spot, Graeme Rodger kept his cool to slot the ball past the keeper.

All
the other games in the league were called off due to waterlogged pitches.
