Nairn had the first chance of the second half when Gethins
crossed to Leslie at the back post, He flashed the ball across the face of goal
but there were no takers to stick it home.

Academy broke up field on a counter-attack. Cunningham
played the ball up the right and Macadie stepped over it letting it run on for
Shaun Sinclair on the over-lap and his shot into the box seemed to be missed by
everyone and hit off the post before being cleared by the Nairn defense for a
corner.

Academy pulled a goal back in the 54th minute.
Davie Allan played a defense splitting pass to Sam Mackay who ran onto the ball
and knocked it past the out-rushing keeper.

2 – 1

A minute later Academy crafted another great chance. A
Shearer cross from the left found Davie Allan free in the box but he fired his
header straight at keeper Donaldson.

The game was going end to end and Gethins flashed a shot
over the Academy cross-bar. Academy then pumped a high ball up-field to Geruzel
who took it on his chest and laid it into the path of Macadie. He drove on and
cut the ball back to Geruzel but the big Polish striker pulled his shot from 10
yards out just past the post.

Nairn again came close when Gethins set up Macpee but he
fired just wide of target. Nair kept on the attack and Macphee set up Gethins
who tried to curl a shot into the bottom left hand corner but Grey got a hand
to it to make a good save.

Academy took Ross Allan on for Stevie Cunningham.

Michael Steven then had a goal-saving tackle as he pinched
the ball off the toes of Gethins as he was shaping to shoot.

Substitute Ross Allan drove up the left flank and cut in before
firing in a shot that was deflected for a corner. The corner was floated in and
Academy had a shout for a hand-ball but referee Morag Pirie waved away the
protests.

Nairn score with a break-away goal with 8 minutes left. Macphee
and Adam Naismith combined. Macphee got t the by-line, cut inside Sinclair and
from a tight angle fired a low shot past Gray into the bottom right hand
corner.

2 minutes later and the home side put the game to bed. Ellis
picked up a loose ball in the middle of the park and drove forward before
