2 minutes later and Brora increased their advantage. Zander
Sutherland got the better of Alan Farquhar on the right touch-line and he fired
in a low cross. Michael Steven failed to clear and the ball fell to Steven
Mackay
who made no mistake from 12 yards.

4 – 2

Shaun Sinclair was then booked for a late tackle on Andrew
Greig. A minute later and Shaun was replaced by James Pickles. Michael Steven
switched to right-back, Craig Shearer was moved to centre-half and James into
the middle of the park.

28 minutes in and Brora went nap. Greig on the left crossed
the ball into the Academy box. Alan Farquhar managed to get his head to it but
could only clear to the edge of the box where Martin Maclean side-stepped a challenge
and slotted home.

5 – 2

More saved a volley from Zander Sutherland but minutes later
Brora won a penalty when Michael Steven was adjudged to have fouled Andrew
Greig in the box. Referee Graham Fraser pointed to the spot and Zander Sutherland
sent More the wrong way and slotted home for his hat-trick.

6 – 2

Just before the half-time interval an off-the-ball incident between
Andrew Greig and Michael Steven, where Greig looked to have lifted his hands on
Steven, went un-noticed by the officials and Brora went into the break with a 4
goal lead.

Half Time – Brora Rangers 6 – Wick Academy 2

Barry Wilson made a change for the start of the second half
with Lukasz Geruzel coming on for Gary Weir. The change almost had an instant
impact. Davie Allan played the ball wide to Macadie who threaded the ball
through the Brora defence to Geruzel. He cut it back to Davie Allan but from 14
yards out Allan skied his shot high of the target.

Academy kept plugging and created another good chance. Ross
Allan took a throw-in from the left to Geruzel. He played a one-two with Davie
Allan but from a tight angle Geruzel fired over the cross-bar.

Academy created another chance on 56 minutes. Macadie played
the ball to Davie Allan down the inside right channel. Allan squared across goal
where Geruzel came storming in but he just couldn't stretch enough to get
contact on the ball.

On 65 minutes Academy made their final change with James
Murray coming on for Richard Macadie.

Brora came close again on 66 minutes. Hart charged down a
Ross Allan pass and broke up the park. He crossed to the back post where Steven
Mackay was unmarked and he managed to get as shot on target that More did well
to save.

Greig then raced up the left flank and cut the ball back
into the box for Steven Mackay but he sent his left foot shot over the top of
target from 16 yards.

Brora ended the game with yet another good chance. Steven
Mackay got a fortunate break of the ball and went one-on-one with More. More
came and narrowed the angle and got a got block on the ball to send it for a
corner.
