Academy welcomed Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Harmsworth Park for the last of their pre-season friendlies, and it was Caley that shone with a five star performance.
Caley opened the scoring after only nine minutes when Ryan Christie skimmed down the left wing and cut inside Shaun Sinclair before passing the ball across the face of goal to find an unchallenged Nick Ross to shoot home from six yards.
The lead was doubled on 26 minutes when Ross Draper beat the offside trap to get on the end of an Adam Evans cross to shoot home.
Half time – 0 – 2
Caley made it three before the half hour mark when Adam Evans headed home a Joe Gorman cross as they continued to terrorise down the wings. Shortly after the hour mark.
Caley scored twice in the space of five minutes through Christie and Ali Sutherland to make it five.
Ross Allan pulled one back for Academy in the dying minutes with a sweet finish from 18 yards.
