Academy start the second half on the attack and increase
their lead. Davie Allan hit the after-burner and tore up the wing, cut the ball
across goal and Lukasz Geruzel slotted home from 5 yards out.
0 – 4
Gary Weir comes on for Lukasz Geruzel. Within minutes of
being on the park he is taken down in the box and referee Andy Milne pointed to
the spot. Richard Macadie slotted home the penalty for his hat-trick and the
Scorries go nap.
0 – 5
It's raining goals at Victoria Park as Academy score again.
Davie Allan again shows his blistering pace up the right flank and he drove the
ball hard across the face of goal for Macadie to grab his 4th of the
game as he scores from 6 yards out.
0 – 6
Within a minute Macadie bags his 5th goal of the
game. Everything is falling for him and he made no mistake from 8 yards out as
Davie Allan again supplied the perfect ball.

Full Time – Buckie Thistle 0 – Wick Academy 7
The win is our biggest ever against Buckie and it’s the
first time an Academy player has scored 5 goals in a single game since we joined the Highland League back in 1994. Mark
Nichol scored 4 against Rothes in 2006,
and Macadie also grabbed 4 against Strathspey in 2009. Macadie hit
another
land-mark today as his 2nd goal took him through the 100 competitive
goal barrier for Academy. To top it all it is also Academy's best away
win, and the result today has us back to the top of the table as Cove
drew 2-2 with Brora.
Richard's Grandfather Bill Mackay still holds the Club record for most goals scored in a single game. He slotted home six in a North Cup game against Brora on the 14th Feb 1959.
