Within minutes of the restart following a
quickly taken free kick Charlesworth lobbed the ball over Gray's head to put
Lossie 3-2 up.
Almost immediately Wick levelled again when
Craig Shearer nodded the ball down in the box and Gary Weir netted from close
range.
Lossie were reduced to ten men in the 68th
minute when Stephen McKenzie collected a second yellow for tripping Davie Allan
in the box. Macadie's spot kick rebounded from Miele's right hand post.
Macadie burst through into the box just right of
centre but fired a swerving shot past the post and against the sidenetting.
Mackay was fed the ball to feet by Lucasz Geruzel but his shot drifted wide.
Alan Farquhar too came close when he joined the attack but fired over the
bar, while at the top end Ross Archibald's glancing header flashed
past the upright.
Davie Allan sprinted past his marker to control
a long pass down the left from Cunningham but he couldn't get past Miele who
was in action again saving at Macadie's feet.
Wick led for the first time when Mackay chipped
in a cross from the right and Michael Steven rose at the back post to head it
down past Miele.
A great passing move starring Shearer and
Macadie was finished off with a powerful volley from Geruzel but the flag was
up for offside.
Lossie weren't giving up and Farquhar made a
timely interception when there were 3 attackers racing towards him. A
ferocious 25 yarder from James Pickles was turned over the bar by Miele. Davie
Allan was already the sponsors' man of the match but he made another surging
run down the right and stood firm to shake off a challenge from Charlesworth
before releasing the ball to Lucasz whose close range shot would have burst net
if it hadn't gone 3 yards wide of the back post.
In stoppage time the Scorries completed what the
Saurday night sport papers always called a 'nap hand' when the ball was swept
across the park from right to left by Allan and Geruzel to Macadie at the
corner of the box. This time the tireless attacking midfielder had time take
two or three paces towards goal and pick his spot to beat Miele.
