Geruzel got a shot on target that took a deflection before keeper Coutts got a
hand to the ball to tip it onto the crossbar and over the top.
Academy are pushing for the equaliser and Geruzel played
Michael Steven one-one-one with Coutts but from 9 yards out Steven pushed his
shot just wide of the target.
Five minutes before the half-time break the Academy pressure
finally pays off and the scores are levelled. A crossed ball is played into
Macadie and he played a first-time ball onto Mackay who went in on keeper
Coutts. Coutts got a hand to Mackay's shot but couldn't keep it out and the
ball nestled in the bottom right hand corner of the net.

2 minutes later Coutts pulls off a wonder-save. Mackay
played a long ball up the left to Macadie to cross into Davie Allan. Allan took
it on the half-volley and somehow Coutts got a hand on the ball and he tipped
it over the cross-bar. From the corner Geruzel worked a half-yard in the box
but his shot was beaten away by Coutts.
On the stroke of half time Michael Steven fired a long
throw-in to Geruzel in the Turriff box. Mark Simpson climbed on the back of
Geruzel's back to head the ball and Academy called for a penalty but referee
Morag Pirie waved play on. Turriff broke and Nicholas Gray laid a pass to Gary
Harriss at the edge of the Academy box and he curled his shot over an
outstretched Gray and into the top corner of the net.

Turriff have the first real chance of the second half with
56 minute on the clock. Alan Farquhar failed to deal with a long ball and Gary
Harris homed in on goal but Gray stood big and deflected the shot for a corner.
20 minutes of the second half played. Academy have had
plenty of possession but just can't turn it into goal scoring opportunities.
Just past the hour Academy have a great chance to square the
scores. Michael Steven took a long throw-in that fell to Geruzel. He flicked the
ball on into the path of Davie Allan who in turn slipped the ball through to
Craig Shearer but Shearer drove his shot across the face of goal and inches
past Coutts left hand post.
Academy make a change in the 67th minute with
Gary Weir coming on for Lukasz Geruzel.
Weir is on the park for a minute. With his 1st
touch he controlled a cross into the box, and with his 2nd touch he
rifled home.

2 minutes later the home side regained the lead. A long ball
is played to Gary Harris up the left flank and he floated a cross to the back
post where Nicholas Gray headed home his second of the game.

Academy show their character as on 70 minutes the scores are
again squared. Weir collected the ball on the left hand corner of the Turriff
box before lifting his head and firing a shot over the top of Coutts and into
the top right hand corner.

This is some game and on 78 minutes the home side again take
the lead. Academy lose the ball deep in the Turriff half. Turriff played a long
ball down the left flank for Harris and he out-muscled Farquhar, raced into the box
and placed the ball beyond Gray into the back of the net.

Academy battled to the end but unfortunately couldn't muster up an equaliser.
