Academy came out at the start of the second half all guns
blazing and added two quick goals, the first came from Lukasz Geruzel, a pass
from Davie Allan found Geruzel in behind the Clach defence and he showed great
composure to slot the ball into the bottom corner.
Just a minute later and it was 3-0 this time it was Sam Mackay who found
the net, Sam was played in up the inside left channel and he
placed a shot across the keeper into the same corner as Geruzel had done
moments earlier.
Clach came back into the game and got a goal after 63
minutes, a long ball was played down the line to Alan Pollock and he layed it
back to Lawrie whose cross was headed out by Alan Farquhar to Chris Ross 25
yards from goal who took a touch before firing a shot into the back of the net.
One final chance for Wick came on 77 minutes and this
time Weir was played in by Mackay but John Campbell stood up well in the Clach
goal and managed to beat away the shot.
point of view occurred deep into injury time but maybe justified going by
current rules, Colin Williamson came in the back of Weir right in front of the
ref who had no hesitation in showing a straight red card.
