The visitors however leveled the scores in
their next attack. A corner was fired into the Academy box and Willie West had
a free run and headed home past Bokas from 5 yards out.
1 – 1
From the re-start Macadie fed the ball to Allan and he got
his shot on target but keeper Leask made a solid save.
In the 27th minute Broch front-man Allan Hale
lashed a wicked shot on goal which Bokas could only parry out and Grant Steven
cleared the danger.
A minute later Fraserburgh took the lead. Slack defending
again saw Allan Hale with space at the back post and he had time to take the
ball down and hammer home.
1 – 2
In the last chance of the half Macadie had a long range pot
at target but his attempt whistled just over the top of the cross bar.
Half time 1 – 2
2 minutes after the re-start the visitors increased their
lead. Willie West drifted unmarked into the back post and got on the end of a
crossed ball to side foot home.
1 – 3
Neither team managed to create much more in front of goal
for the remainder of the second half. Cunningham had a neat chip on target
which went just wide of the post. Davie Allan also had a great surging run to
the bye line before cutting back into the box, but Bryan Hay was on hand to cut
out the danger and clear for a corner.
In the final minute Allan had a repeat run and in an
identical move substitute Jonathan Garden stepped in to cut out the cross as
the Academy front-men lined up to tap home.
