In the next attack Academy have a chance to level the scores when Sam
Mackay went one-on-one with keeper Horne, but the Rothes stopper cleared
the ball out for a corner.
Half Time 2 – 1
Academy start the second half well and have a series of
chances. Richard Macadie was clear through on goal but he pulled his shot wide
of target. 2 minutes later Academy had a good series of passing play around the
18 yard line before the ball fell to Macadie but he chipped his attempt over
the bar.
The play has been end to end with both sides in attacking
mood. Academy have two further breaks on goal when a Manson drive that looked
goal-bound took a deflection for a corner, and the Rothes keeper Horne again
managed to clear with his feet when Weir went in on him one-on-one.
Academy make a change with Bryan McKiddie coming on for
Craig Shearer with 66 minutes played.
It's like the Lossiemouth game all over again with Academy
making plenty of chances but we just can't seem to take one of them.
Keeper Horne has been a busy boy yet again denying Davie
Allan with a block with his feet. Macadie also has a shot that looks bound for
the net but centre-half Michael Dunn bravely put his head in the way of the
ball and cleared the danger.
Manson has a cross from the left kicked away at the near
post and the ball still won't go in for Academy.
Rothes are looking dangerous on the break as Academy push
for the equaliser so care needed in-case the back door is left open.
