Academy extended their lead after the half-time break. David
Allan pounced on a mistake in the Huntly defence and chipped the ball into the
box for Richard Macadie to tap home from only 2 yards out.
Academy played well in the second half and have kept Huntly
from having any real sniff at goal.
Macadie almost doubles his goal tally with 7 minutes of the
game left to play when he cut inside from the wing and drove a low shot from 18
yards out that clipped off the outside of the post.
Academy sealed a great result with 6 minutes left to play.
Macadie swung a good ball into the box from a corner kick and veteran Craig
Shearer rose highest in the box to head home a good goal.
Academy give James Mackay and Alan Hughes from the under 17
squad a run out for the final few minutes of the game and run the clock out to
take all 3 points back up the A9. The result gives Academy their first away win in the league this season.
