Martin’s first appearance for Academy was in a Highland League Cup game on the 20th August 1994 at Home to Fort William. The co-managers at that time were John MacDonald & Pat Miller.

A week later on the 27th August he made his first league appearance away to Peterhead at Recreation Park.

The team that day was: Martin Baker, Richard Clarkson, Colin Coghill, Martin Gunn, Duncan MacDonald, Ian MacDonald, Kevin Morris, Alan Murray, Derek Shearer, Graham Stewart, Stewart Sutherland.

Subs: Scott MacDonald, Colin Chambers.

Academy unfortunately lost 4 – 0 in this game.

Martin’s first league goal came on the 16th of December 1995, in a home game against Buckie Thistle. We lost that day 3 – 2, Alan Duff scoring our other goal.

In addition to these league appearances Martin also has a total of 51 cup appearances, in which he’s scored a further 11 goals.

Congratulations to Martin on this tremendous achievement.
