22 minutes Nigel Mackenzie scores from 18 yards to put Academy one goal up.

44 minutes Graeme Reid scores with a header from a corner that looped over Darren Strong to double Academys lead.

Rothes have had one goal ruled out for off-side, but Academy have had a good first half coming close on several occasions with Jamie Mackenzie missing a good chance to go in three up just before the first half whistle.

Rothes have come back stronger in the second half and have had good chances including one shot off the post. Academy though have also had good chances through Davie Cowie and Mark Nicol.

Alistair Budge has made 3 changes for the last 15 minutes, Gary Farquhar replaced by Gary Weir, Martin Gunn replaced by Mark Nicol, and Shaun Sinclair replaced by Martin Macgregor.

Academy are holding on, and look to have the 3 points in the bag with less than 5 minutes remaining.

In summary Academy had a very good first half, but Rothes came back into the game in the second half and had the better of the last 20 minutes. Andrew Macleod was our reporter at the game man of the match. He was seemingly very solid, and had the Academy defence well organised.

A great result by Academy making it two wins on the spin, with a chance to go further up the league at home to Fort William next week. Today’s win puts Academy a point in front of Rothes so well done to the boys, Alistair and his back-room team.
