Wick welcomed Inverurie Locos to the Harmsworth park for a North Qualifying cup contest. Locos manager John Gardiner flew his team up to Wick for the match, and they got a flyer in the game as well, with a goal in 8 minutes from man of the match Stuart Mackay. Locos went in at half time with the one goal lead, and if they thought they got a flyer to the start of the first half, then they went super-sonic in the second, with a goal within 1 minute of the re-start, when Stuart Mackay doubled his tally.
